Where to stay on Orkney: our favourites
We get a lot of questions from our guests about where to stay, so here are our favourite places in Orkney (no, we don't get a commission, these are just the places we've personally tested out and rate the highest).
There are many other places we've heard are good, so we've listed some of those as well. We'll add more as we can. Self-catering is the best option if you're going to be here for a week or more.

why we like it: It's an old millhouse, so the interior has retained many original features. Morag has a number of rooms, including a family suite with multiple rooms and living area. |

why we like it: Not only is a hostel a bargain, you can cook for yourself. Sylvia keeps a clean, friendly place and has a number of different rooms, from family suites to triples to singles. |
