Adventure Club: Firemaking Level 2
August 7 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
One event on 16/10/2018 at 9:30am
With more firemaking using bowdrills and flint strikers, the Level 2 all-day session is a chance for your teen to learn firemaking, or for your child to build upon the skills learned in Firemaking Level 1. (Please note, if you child did not attend the Level 1 sessions, they can still participate, but we encourage children to learn the basics in Level 1).
The Adventure Club teaches outdoor skills in a fun yet challenging way to kids ages 7 and up. Ranging from building shelters to making fire, learning how to navigate to staying safe in the outdoors, the Club also links strongly to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, particularly in developing maths and science skills.
During the school holidays, the Holiday Adventure Club runs for 4 consecutive days, with each day themed around:
- Shelter Building
- Fire Making
- Survival Skills
