Girl with rucksack, walking stick and Adventurer badge

Earn your ‘Adventurer’ Level 1 badge by learning survival skills at the Adventure Club on Thursday 5 July and Thursday 19 July 2018, from 9.30 – 17.00.

Kids will learn how to enjoy the countryside safely and comfortably in this all-day session packed full of skills. They’ll get tips to increase their self-confidence as well as their self-reliance.

Learning through play

Get prepared to go outside on the hills in a fun way, learning by playing games such as:

  • Which Survival Tool? (most essential survival tools)
  • Mountain Rescue Call-Out (how to deal with an emergency)
  • First Fire (build an emergency fire)
  • Shelter Wars (build an emergency shelter)

About the Adventure Club

Would you like your kids to play outside in the fresh air, learning how to be independent and self-reliant? Would you like your kids to learn maths and science without even realising it? Or perhaps you have a child with ADHD and need an experience which helps them relax and focus.

We set up the Adventure Club to meet all those needs, teaching outdoor skills in a fun yet challenging way to kids ages 7 and up (or under 7 with a parent attending). We’ll also be running a special Adventure Club week for teens in the first week of August.

Ranging from building shelters to making fire, learning how to navigate to staying safe in the outdoors, the Club also links strongly to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, particularly in developing maths and science skills.

During the school holidays, the Holiday Adventure Club runs all day from 9:30 – 5:00pm at the eco camp at Bamff Estate, near Alyth, Perthshire.

Each Adventure Club week has 4 different days:

  • Navigation
  • Shelter Building
  • Fire Making
  • Survival Skills

Each day is £30 or the full 4 days can be booked for £95.

Did you know the Adventure Club is designed to develop children’s maths and science skills in the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence? We do it by learning through outdoor play. Find out more about the Holiday Adventure Club >
