Winter Walk to Boost Creativity, Health and Concentration – Family Fun Outdoors event
February 14 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm£10 – £15
If going outside in the cold and wet seems unappealing, join us on this winter walk where you’ll discover both how to make it enjoyable and why it matters.
According to the latest research, there are three compelling reasons to go outside in winter:
- Improves concentration and focus, particularly useful for ADHD and hyperactive children
- Improves creativity and sense of wonder
- Boosts your metabolism, potentially helping with weight
On this half day walk, feel these benefits for yourself (and perhaps a reluctant family member!) and learn about the habitat around Bamff, including beavers. We’ll begin in the Den of Alyth, continuing through to the Bamff estate, passing beaver dams and habitats, before following the Cateran Trail onto Alyth Hill.
Cost: £10/person or Family/group £15 (2 adults with or without children)
Ages: Ideal for families with children ages 7 and over, though younger children are welcome.
What should I bring?
- Comfortable, warm layers of clothing that you don’t mind getting muddy or wet
- Waterproofs (optional)
- Lunch and drinks
