Where to stay on Orkney: our favourites

We get a lot of questions from our guests about where to stay, so here are our favourite places in Orkney (we don’t get a commission, these are just the places we’ve personally tested out and rate the highest).

Why we like it: It’s an old millhouse, so the interior has retained many original features.

Morag has a number of rooms, including a family suite with multiple rooms and living area.

Why we like it: Lovely, charming and classy house and grounds.

Why we like it: Renowned for doing good breakfasts.

Conveniently placed in Stromness, with just a 2 minute walk from the ferry port.

Why we like it: Centrally located for major sites like Ring of Brodgar and Maes Howe.

Recently restored buildings mixing traditional and ultra modern.
